About The Horse
Calligraphy has been under training with us for quite some time and although she made a late start, she has really proven herself to be the one to watch for. She is great over short distances, as she doesn't have a lot of endurance, but has blinding speed.
She is the daughter of ELUSIVE QUALITY who won the Jaipur Handicap and Poker Stakes. He is the son of GONE WEST, winner of the graded stakes Dwyer Stakes, Gotham Stakes and Withers Stakes. He was a superior sire of sires, and ELUSIVE QUALITY is no exception. His dam also produced the G2 winner ROSSINI.
Her dam is CHILUKKI who won the Vinery Del Mar Debutante, Kentucky Breeders' Cup, Churchill Downs Distaff Handicap, and Oak Leaf Stakes to name a few earning $1.2 million in her career. She was named the 1999 Champion Two Year Old Filly. Her sire CHEROKEE RUN was a great sprinter winning the Breeders' Cup Sprint, Frank J.
